A Rs. 2000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Rs. 2500 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs. 2700 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs. 2600 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

Let the cost price of the article for A be Rs. x Therefore, cost price of the article for B = Rs. 1.1x Marked price of the article = Rs. 1.3x Selling price of the article for B = 0.87 × 1.1x = Rs. 0.957x According to the question, 1.3x – 0.957x = 891.8 Or, x = 891.8/0.343 = 2600 Therefore, cost price of the article for A = Rs. 2600
