Let the original number of faculties in Physics and Biology be 4x and 7x respectively According to the question, => (4x + 75)/(7x + 40) = 3/4 => 21x + 120 = 16x + 300 => x = 36 Original number of faculties = 4x + 7x = 11x = 11 × 36 = 396
