    Let the number of males and females be 4x and 5x respectively. Percentage of children among females = 20% So, 80% of females are adults, => 80/100×5x = 5200 => 5x = 6500 => x = 1300 Total population = 4x + 5x = 9x = 9 ×1300 = 11700
