1. एक चोर ने बाग से कुछ फल चुराए , पकड़े जाने पर पहले चौकीदार को चोरी किए गए फलों में से आधे फल दे दिए किन्तु एक फल वापस ले लिया। इसी प्रकार दूसरे व तीसरे चौकीदारों को भी उसके पास चोरी के उपलब्ध फलों में से आधे फल दे दिए व पुनः एक फल वापस ले लिया। अन्त में उसके पास उतने ही फल बचे जितने उसने चुराय थे। उसने कितने फल चुराए थे ?
