    Solution

    I. 144x² - 163x - 65 = 0 144x² - 208x + 45x - 65 = 0 16x (9x – 13) + 5(9x – 13) = 0 (16x + 5) (9 x – 13) = 0 ∴ x = -5/16, 13/9 II. 91y² - 128y -48 = 0 91y² + 28y - 156y - 48 = 0 7y (13y + 4) – 12 (13 y + 4) = 0 (13 y + 4) (7y – 12) = 0 ∴ y = 12/7, -4/13 Hence, relationship cannot be established between x and y
