I. 2x2 - 15x + 25 = 0 2x2 - 5x - 10x + 25 = 0 x (2 x – 5) – 5(2 x – 5) = 0 (x – 5)(2 x – 5) = 0 x = 5, 5/2 II. 3y2 - 10y + 8 = 0 3y2 - 6 y - 4y + 8 = 0 3 y (y - 2) – 4(y – 2) = 0 (3 y – 4) (y – 2) = 0 y = 2, 4/3 Hence, x>y
