I. 27x² + 120x + 77 = 0 27x² + 21x + 99x + 77 = 0  3x(9x + 7) + 11(9x + 7) = 0 (9x + 7) (3x + 11) = 0 ∴ x = -7/9 , -  11/3   II. 56y² + 117y + 36 = 0 56y² + 96y + 21y + 36 = 0 8y(7 y + 12) + 3(7 y + 12) = 0 (8 y + 3) (7 y + 12) = 0 ∴ y = -3/8 , -  12/7 Hence, no relationship cannot be established between x and y.
