B Rs 22,400 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs 23,400 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs 24,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Let, the cost price of a laptop or a mobile = Rs. x Marked price of the laptop = Rs. 1.4x Selling price of the laptop = 1.4x × 0.80 = Rs. 1.12x Marked price of the mobile = Rs. 1.3x Selling price of the mobile = 1.3x × 0.90 = Rs. 1.17x According to question: 1.12x + 1.17x – 2x = 5800 0.29x = 5800 x = 20000 So the selling price of the laptop = 1.12 × 20000 = Rs. 22,400
