B Rs.1,200 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs.1,750 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs.1,650 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    ATQ,

    Let the cost price of the article be Rs. ‘10x’. So, marked price of the article = 1.75 × 10x = Rs. ‘17.5x’ Selling price of the article = 0.88 × 17.5x = Rs. 15.4x According to the question: 15.4x – 10x = 540 Or, 5.4x = 540 Or, x = 100 So, the cost price of the article = 10 × 100 = Rs. 1000 Marked price of the article = 1.75 × 1000 = Rs. 1750
