Let the cost price, selling price and marked price be Rs. 5x, Rs. 7x and Rs. 11x respectively
According to the question,
Profit earned = 7x – 5x = Rs. 2x
Therefore, 2x = 600

Therefore, discount offered = 11x – 7x = 4x = 4 × 300 = Rs. 1200
