    Let the cost of one notebook and one pencil be Rs. x and Rs. y, respectively.

    ATQ;

    6x+4y=240.......(I)

    5x+3y=195.......(II)

    Multiply Equation (II) by 4 and Equation (I) by 3, then subtract:

    20x+12y−18x−12y=780−720

    2x=60

    x=30

    Cost of 7 notebooks = 7×30=210 Rs.
