    B 8.50 kg Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    C 6.25 kg Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 11.12 kg Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    ATQ,

    Let the quantity of apples sold at 25% profit be β€˜x’ kg and the quantity of apples sold at 15% profit be β€˜25 – x’ kg.

    ATQ;

    40 Γ— 0.15 Γ— (25 – x) + 40 Γ— 0.25 Γ— x = 175

    Or, 150 – 6x + 10x = 175

    Or, 4x = 25

    Or, x = 6.25

    Therefore, the seller sold 6.25 kg of apples at 25% profit.
