So, x + y = 480 ............(I) And, 1.60(y - x) = 120 So, y - x = 75 .............(II) Adding equations (I) and (II), we get, x + y + y - x = 480 + 75 Or, 2y = 555 So, 'y' = (555/2) = 277.5 Therefore, marked price of article 'D' = 277.5 x 1.60 = Rs. 444
