Let the total distance be 4 units (LCM of 4 and 2) A person covers a distance with a speed of 25 km/hr. = 1/4 x 4 = 1 unit A person covers a distance with a speed of 40 km/hr. = 1/2 x 4 = 2 unit Remaining Distance = 4-1- 2 = 1 unit Average Speed = 4/ (1/25 +2/40+1/50) =4/ (8+10+4)/200 =800/22 =36(8/22) =36(4/11) km/h
