Question
Raj's income is ₹45,000 and his expenditure is
₹33,000. If his income is increased by 20% and expenditure by 12%, then what will be the percentage increase in saving?Solution
Income =45000, Expenditure =33000. Saving =45000-33000=12000. Now 20% increasing in income =45000×120/100 =54000. 12% increase by Expenditure=33000×112/100 =36960. New Saving =54000-36960=17040. Increasing in saving =17040-12000=5040. Percentage increasing saving = (5040/12000) ×100 =504/12 = 42%
