Two pipes A and B can fill a tank in 15 hours and 25 hours respectively. If both the pipes are opened simultaneously, in how much time the tank will be filled completely? (in hrs)

Part filled by A in 1 hour = 1/15 ; Part filled by B in 1 hour = 1/25 ⇒ Part filled by ( A + B) in 1 hour = ( 1/15 + 1/25 ) = 8/75 ∴ Hence, both the pipes together will fill the tank in 75/8 hours.
