A Rs. 3,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Rs. 4,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs. 5,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs. 6,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      Let the monthly salary of Vikas = Rs. 100x Amount spent by Vikas on EMI and maintenance together = 28x + 22x = Rs. 50x Amount spent by Vikas on hobbies and dining together = 0.30 Γ— (100x – 50x) = Rs. 15x Amount given to father = 0.60 Γ— (100x – 50x – 15x) = Rs. 21x So amount left with him = 0.40 Γ— (100x – 50x – 15x) = 5600 14x = 5600 x = 400 So the amount spent by Vikas on dining out = 0.20 Γ— 50 Γ— 400 = Rs. 4,000
