      Let the monthly salary of Amit = Rs. 100x Amount spent by Amit on rent and clothes together = 20x + 10x = Rs. 30x Amount spent by Amit on medicine and fuel together = 0.40 × (100x – 30x) = Rs. 28x Amount donated to trust = 0.20 × (100x – 30x – 28x) = Rs. 8.4x So amount left with him = 0.80 × (100x – 30x – 28x) = 26880 33.6x = 26880 x = 800 So the amount spent by Amit on fuel = 0.25 × 70 × 800 = Rs. 14,000
