A 60% Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 62% Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 64% Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 66% Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Let, the total population be 100x Number of females = 100x × 0.60 = 60x Number of males = 100x – 60x = 40x Literate male in the village = 40x × 0.30 = 12x Or, 12x = 600 Or, x = 50 Total population = 5000 Literate females in the village = 600 × (2/1) = 1200 Illiterate people in the village = 5000 – 600 – 1200 = 3200 Percentage of illiterate people = (3200/5000) × 100 = 64%
