Let total valid votes = 100x
Winner's votes = 100x × 0.68 = 68x
Loser's votes = 100x - 68x = 32x
As per question,

x = 2040 ÷ 36 = 56.66 ≈ 57
So, loser's votes = 32 × 57 = 1824
