Question
Anjali’s score is 40% more than Meena’s. Priya
scored 150 more than the difference between Anjali and Meena. If Priya scored 270 marks, find Anjali’s marks.Solution
ATQ,
Let the marks obtained by Meena be ‘x’.
So, marks obtained by Anjali = 1.40x
According to question,
(1.40x – x) + 150 = 270
0.40x = 270 – 150
0.40x = 120
x = 120 / 0.40
x = 300
Therefore, marks obtained by Anjali = 1.40 × 300 = 420 marks
