    Let us assume that total number students in the class = '100x' So, total number of boys in the class = 0.45 X 100x = '45x' Total number of girls in the class = 0.55 X 100x = '55x' ATQ; (50/100) X 55x = 176 Or, x = 176 X (1/55) X (100/50) Or, x = 6.4 Total number of boys = 45 X 6.4 = 288
