Rs. 3600. They agree that 50% of the profit is shared equally and the rest in the ratio of their investments. If Aisha gets Rs. 100 more than Rohan, find the total profit (in Rs.).
A Rs.1000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Rs.1020 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs.1200 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs.2400 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    ATQ, Ratio of profit share: Aisha : Rohan = 5400 : 3600 = 3 : 2 Let, total profit be Rs. 4x. Equal part per person = x. Share from ratio part (2x): Aisha = (3/5)×2x, Rohan = (2/5)×2x Total received: Aisha = x + (3/5)·2x = x + 6x/5 = 11x/5 Rohan = x + (2/5)·2x = x + 4x/5 = 9x/5 According to question, (11x/5) − (9x/5) = 100 ⇒ (2x/5) = 100 ⇒ x = 250 Therefore, total profit = 4x = Rs.1000
