Question
Aman and Rohit invested Rs. 1500 and Rs. 2000 in a venture.
After 8 months, Suresh joined with Rs. ‘x’. If Aman’s share from total profit of Rs. 900 is Rs. 225, calculate ‘x’.Solution
ATQ,
Investment ratio = 1500 : 2000 : x
Profit share = (1500 × 12) : (2000 × 12) : (x × 4)= 18000 : 24000 : 4x= 3 : 4 : x/6000
Now,
[3 / (3 + 4 + x/6000)] = 225 / 900
=> 7 + x/6000 = 12
=> x/6000 = 5
=> x = 30,000
So, the value of ‘x’ is Rs.30,000
