Let Anil’s investment be Rs. 'y'.
(12,000 × 12) : (y × 8) = 6 : 7
→ 144000 : 8y = 6 : 7
→ 144000/8y = 6/7
→ 18000/y = 6/7
→ y = (18000 × 7)/6
→ y = Rs. 21,000
