      Solution

      P invested her capital for 12 months, Q for 9 months and R for 3 months. So, ratio of their capitals = (12000 × 12):(18000 × 9):(24000 × 3) ⇒  144000 : 162000 : 72000 ⇒  8 : 9 : 4 Therefore, R’s share = 4200 x (4/21) = Rs.800
