Let numbers be x, y, z. 2x + y + z = 250 × 2 = 500 x + 2y + z = 238 × 2 = 476 x + y + 2z = 222 × 2 = 444 4(x + y + z) = 500 + 476 + 444 = 1420 x + y + z = 355 x = 500 – 355 = 145 y = 476 – 355 = 121 z = 444 – 355 = 89 Difference = 145 – 89 = 56
