Question
Aman and Suman entered into a partnership with
investment of Rs.24500 and Rs.34000 respectively. At the end of one year, Aman invested Rs.2500 more. After one more year Sujit joined them by investing Rs.56000. At the end of 5 years from the start of partnership, they earned a total profit of Rs.282300. 15% of the total profit goes to a trust and rest of the profit is distributed among them as per the share of their investment. Find the share of Aman in the profit.Solution
Ratio of share in the profit:
Aman : Suman : Sujit = (24500 + 27000 x 4) : (34000 x 5) : (56000 x 3)
= 132500 : 170000 : 168000
= 265 : 340 : 336
Share of Aman in the profit = 265/(265 + 340 + 336) x (100 - 15)/100 x 282300
= 265/941 x 85/100 x 282300
= Rs.67575
