    of 9 respectively. If 60 ml of water and 70 ml of milk are added into it, then the ratio of milk to water in the resulting mixture will be 7:2. Find the value of ‘u’.

    ATQ Quantity of milk in 380 ml of mixture = 380 × 9/(9 + u) Quantity of water in 380 ml of mixture = 380 × u/(u + 9) According to the question: {3420/(9 + u) + 70}/{380u/(u + 9) + 60} = 7/2 Or, 3420/(9 + u) + 70 = 1330u/(u + 9) + 210 Or, (3420 – 1330u)/(u + 9) = 140 Or, 3420 – 1330u = 140u + 1260 Or, 1470u = 2160 Or, u = 2
