    ATQ, Let the total quantity of mixture initially be '100y' litres. Quantity of water = 0.25 × 100y = '25y' litres. Quantity of milk = 100y - 25y = '75y' litres. ATQ: 75y=1.4×(25y+20) 75y=35y+28 40y=28 y = 28/40 = 0.7 Therefore, initial quantity of water = 25 × 0.7 = 17.5 litres.
