    A vessel contains mixture in which 25% is water and

    rest is milk. If 40 liters more water added in vessel, then quantity of water becomes 35% of mixture. Find the quantity of milk in the vessel?
    A 120 lit Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    B 100 lit Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    C 195 lit Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 130 lit Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Let total mixture in vessel be Q liters.
    Initial quantity of water in vessel = 0.25Q
    And, quantity of milk in vessel = 0.75Q
    (0.25Q + 40)/0.75Q = 35/65
    16.25Q + 2600 = 26.25Q
    10Q = 2600
    Q = 260 l
    Quantity of milk in vessel = 260 × 75/100 = 195 lit
