      15 cm, and 10 cm, respectively. It is decided to paint the whole box from outside. A can of paint consists of paint which can paint up to 25 cm2 area. Find the number of cans required to paint the box.

      Solution

      Total surface area of box = 2 x (length x breadth + breadth x height + length x height)

      = 2 x (20 x 15 + 15 x 10 + 20 x 10)

      = 2 x (300 + 150 + 200) = 1,300 cm2

      Therefore, required number of cans = (1,300/25) = 52
