Question
Length and breadth of a rectangle are 35 cm and 28
cm. If area of a square is 196 cm² less than that of rectangle, then find the perimeter of square.
Solution
Area of rectangle = 35 × 28 = 980 cm² Area of square = 980 - 196 = 784 cm² Side of square = √784 = 28 cm So, perimeter of square = 4 × 28 = 112 cm
