    We know that, For a triangle with length of its sides as ‘a’ units, ‘b’ units and ‘c’ units s = {(a + b + c)/2} S o, s = (5 + 9 + 8)/2 = 22/2 = 11 cm Area of the triangle = {s(s – a)(s – b)(s – c)} Required area = {11 × (11 – 5) × (11 – 9) × (11 – 8)} 1/2 = √396 = 6√11 cm 2
