Question
A rectangular plot of breadth 4m is fenced with wire which is 20m in length. Find the area of square whose side is equal to the length of rectangle.
Solution
Perimeter of rectangle = 20m 2(l + b) = 20 (l + 4) = 10 l = 10 ndash; 4 = 6 m Now area of square = side2 = 62 = 36 m2
