    box are 88 cm by 74cm by 67cm. If the wood is 2cm thick all around, find the amount of volume of wood used.(correct to one decimal place)

    Solution

    Capacity of the box = 84 × 70 × 65 = 382200 m³ Volume of the rectangular wooden box = 88 × 74 × 67 = 436304 m³ Volume of the wood used = volume of the rectangular wooden box – capacity of the box  = (436304 – 382200) = 54104 m³
