    According to the question Let the length and breadth of rectangle are x cm and (x – 5) cm respectively. Perimeter of rectangle = 2 x (Length + Breadth) ⇒ 2 (x + x – 5) = 78 ⇒ x = 22 Length = x = 22 cm Breadth = x – 5 = 17 cm Area of rectangle = Length x Breadth Area of rectangle = 22 x 17 = 374 cm²
