Question
Ratio of two numbers 7:9 and their LCM is 1890. Find the sum of the given two numbers.
Solution
Let the two numbers be '7h' and '9h', where 'h' is the HCF of the two given numbers. Product of two numbers = (Product of LCM and HCF) of the given two numbers 7h Γ 9h = h Γ 1890 Or, 63h = 1890 So, 'h' = (1890 / 63) = 30 Therefore, the required sum = 7h + 9h = 16h = 16 Γ 30 = 480 Hence, option c
