      Find the sum of central angle formed by orphanage C and

      D (in degree). Read the following information carefully and answer the given questions: The following pie-chart shows the percentage distribution of number of children in five (A, B, C, D and E) different orphanages. Note:  Total number of children in all the orphanages is 500.
      A 90˚ Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      B 108˚ Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      C 125˚ Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      D 116˚ Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      Number of children in orphanage A = 15% of 500 = 75 Number of children in orphanage C = 20% of 500 = 100 Number of children in orphanage D = 10% of 500 = 50 According to the question, => 75 + 4x + 100 + 50 + x = 500 => 5x = 500 – 225 => x = 55 Number of children in orphanage E = x = 55 Number of children in orphanage B = 4x = 4 × 55 = 220 Required angle = [(20 + 10)/100] × 360 = 108˚
