    Let the distance covered of x km by Avinash Time taken is ‘t’ hours, then Distance covered by Avinash= speed × time x = 70 × t ………………………(i) Distance covered by Rahul (1040 - x)km by Rahul. Distance covered by Rahul = speed × time (1040 – x) = 90 × (t – 8) ………………………(ii) Putting the value of ‘t’ in eq (ii) from eq (i) (1040 – x) = 90 × (x/70 – 8) 1040 - x = 9x/7 – 720 1040 + 720 = 9x/7 + x 1760 = 16x/7 x = 770 km
