Station B? Statement I:  If the train increases its speed by 20%, then it reaches 40 minutes earlier. Statement II:  If the train decreases its speed by 40%, then it reaches 90 minutes late. In each of the following questions, a question is followed by two or three statement. Read all the statements and find that which statements are required to answer the question and answer accordingly.

      Solution

      From I : distance/ (120s/100) = t – 40 D=(t-40)×6s/5 From II : distance/(60s/100) = t + 90 D=(t+90)×3s/5 both statement given distance are same .  (t-40)×6s/5=(t+90)×3s/5 t=170min
