Question
A square has an area of 2,500 cm². Find the area of a
circle whose radius is (2/5)ᵗʰ of the length of the square’s side. (Take π = 3.14)Solution
ATQ,
Area of square = side²
⇒ side² = 2,500
⇒ side = √2500 = 50 cm
Radius of circle = (2/5) × 50 = 20 cm
Area of circle = 3.14 × 20² = 3.14 × 400 = 1,256 cm²
