Sum of number of participants from school B and C is 490 and 180 students participated from school
A. 100 boys participated from school
B.
Solution
Let the number of girls participated from school B and number of boys participated from school C = x Let number of boys and girls participated from school A be 2y and 3y respectively. According to question, => 2y + 3y = 180 => y = 36 Number of boys from school A = 2y = 72 Number of girls from school A = 3y = 108 Number of girls participated from school C = 3y β 18 = 90 Now, 100 + x + x + 90 = 490 => 2x = 300 => x = 150 Number of girls participated from school B and number of boys participated from school C = 150 Required ratio = 72 : 90 = 4:5
