    Speed of the motorboat upstream = 35/(7/4) = 20 km/hr Let the speed of the current be x km/hr ⇒ 24 – x = 20 ⇒ x = 4 km/hr Speed of motor boat downstream = 24 + 4 = 28 km/hr Time taken to cover 35 km at 28 km/hr = 35/28 = 5/4 hours or 1 hour 15 minutes
