    Sum of present ages of Ram and his father = 44 X 2 = 88 years Let the present age of Ram = 'x' years Then, present age of his father = (88 - x) years According to the question, (x + 6) = (88 - x - 4) ÷ 2 Or, (x + 6) X 2 = (84 - x) So, 2x + 12 = 84 - x So, x = (84 - 12) ÷ 3 = 24 So, present age of Ram's father = 88 - 24 = 64 years Therefore, difference between their ages = 64 - 24 = 40 years
