Section 11(1) of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 allows the Chief Wildlife Warden to permit hunting of a wild animal under specific circumstances such as: • If it becomes dangerous to human life or is disabled or diseased beyond recovery. • For scientific, educational, or management purposes. • If it is a man-eater and poses danger to human life. However, this does not apply to animals listed in Schedule I unless in extraordinary situations and after proper authorization.
