The recovery of SPECIFIC MOVABLE property - a suit by a person entitled to the possession of specific movable property to recover it, together with damages for its detention - is provided for under the Specific Relief Act, 1963 in:

Section 8 of the Specific Relief Act provides that a person entitled to the possession of SPECIFIC MOVABLE property may recover it in the manner prescribed by the Code of Civil Procedure, by a suit, together with damages for its wrongful detention, where such property is capable of being identified. It complements Section 5 (recovery of immovable property) and Section 7 (recovery of possession of movable property of a specific nature). The provision does not apply where the subject is not capable of a good-there-is remedy. Recovery of specific movables thus requires the identification of the property and is a distinct possessory remedy.
