Mortgage by deposit of title-deeds .—The provisions hereinbefore contained which apply to a simple mortgage shall, so far as may be, apply to a mortgage by deposit of title-deeds. The provisions of simple mortgage shall apply to a mortgage by deposit of title deeds (also known as equitable mortgage), as per Section 58(f) and Section 96 of the Transfer of Property Act, 1882.
