Which of the following elements is NOT included as one of the seven interconnected organizational components in the classic McKinsey 7-S Framework?

Developed in the late 1970s by McKinsey & Company consultants (notably Tom Peters and Robert Waterman), the McKinsey 7-S Framework is an organizational alignment model categorized into "Hard" and "Soft" elements: Hard Elements (Easier to define and influence directly): Strategy: The plan devised to maintain competitive advantage. Structure: The organizational hierarchy and reporting framework. Systems: The daily procedures, workflows, and information systems (like HRIS). Soft Elements (More abstract and culturally embedded): 4. Shared Values: The core guiding beliefs and corporate culture (at the center of the model). 5. Style: The leadership approach and management behavioral patterns. 6. Staff: The capabilities, personnel numbers, and workforce deployment. 7. Skills: The core competencies and distinctive capabilities of the organization's workforce. Why Option (D) is correct: Sustainability—while a critical contemporary business metric—is not one of the seven original "S" factors in the McKinsey framework.
