Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently declared the establishment of a new wildlife sanctuary named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The sanctuary, officially named "Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Abhyaran," encompasses 258.64 square kilometers of reserved forest area across the North Sagar Forest division, Tehsil Banda, and Shahgarh forest in Sagar district. This initiative aims to strengthen conservation efforts and promote forest and wildlife protection in the region. With this addition, Madhya Pradesh now has 25 wildlife sanctuaries.
